Odonata Central 1.71

Odonata Central Companion is a mobile app designed to streamline tracking of dragonflies and damselflies (odonates) and contributing data to citizen science. The app enables users to create checklists of sightings on their phone and upload them to the Odonata Central website, including species seen, abundance, date, and location. Observations can later be viewed on the Odonata Central site alongside data from thousands of other users as maps and species lists.

• Present at-a-glance checklists of possible species based on your location.
• Supports four languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese and French) and is primarily intended for use in the Western Hemisphere.
• Toggle between English and scientific names.
• Assign a location from stored favorite locations, your current phone location, or a map selection.
• Offline mode enables data entry without cellular signal; checklists are created on the phone and location data can be added later when a connection is available.
• Notes: the app does not accept photos; images can be added later by editing the checklist on the Odonata Central website.
• Requires an Odonata Central account, which can be created from the app or the website; the app acts as a companion to the Odonata Central site.
